With one exception: don’t use traditional savings for any more than a couple of thousand dollars. You can get a no-fee online savings account from HSBC, eTrade or ING (mine at HSBC currently yields 3.5% APY - the only downside is it takes about 3 business days to get at the money).

Today for a workout, I ran for an hour and a half through the woods and at every tree I could grab overhanging the trail I did 10 pull-ups.

Happiness is always a by-product. It is probably a matter of temperament, and for anything I know it may be glandular. But it is not something that can be demanded from life, and if you are not happy you had better stop worrying about it and see what treasures you can pluck from your own brand of unhappiness.
