With one exception: don’t use traditional savings for any more than a couple of thousand dollars. You can get a no-fee online savings account from HSBC, eTrade or ING (mine at HSBC currently yields 3.5% APY – the only downside is it takes about 3 business days to get at the money).

Today for a workout, I ran for an hour and a half through the woods and at every tree I could grab overhanging the trail I did 10 pull-ups.
